Choosing a role (Homeroom/Subject)

In Settings, you can set whether you are a homeroom teacher or a subject teacher. You create classes the same way whichever role you choose. See Creating a Class / Lesson.

Which role should I choose?​

  • HR teacher (homeroom teacher): You look after one class and teach most subjects to it.
  • Subject teacher: You teach specific subjects, such as English, Music or Art, to several classes.

How to change your role​

Step 1: Open Settings​

Click your name at the top right of any page, then click Settings.

Step 2: Choose your role​

In Edit My Information, choose HR teacher or Subject teacher under Teacher Role, then click [Update].

If something goes wrong​

If you can’t change your role:

  • Refresh the page.
  • Log in again.
  • Contact your school administrator.
